Jonathan Colen

I am an Assistant Professor in the Data Science Department at William & Mary. I build interpretable models of complex systems using tools from artificial intelligence, machine learning, and physics. My research focuses on multidisciplinary problems along two main thrusts: AI for Science and AI for Health. Previous projects have aimed to use AI/ML to advance scientific understanding for systems at the intersection of soft materials and biology.

If you are interested in collaborating, or have thoughts about machine learning in health, biology or physics, please reach out!

Prospective students

I am looking for motivated PhD students to join my group. If you would like to work with me, please send me an email with a brief explanation of your interests and CV attached.
